Our Associates

Listen to the Gary Waldrep Band

We are so pleased to announce our association with Gary and his band.  Gary was nominated for a Grammy Award in 1990 for his recording “Gary Waldrep Vintage Bluegrass” and has been featured in a documentary “Music in their Bones” on an Emmy award winning PBS TV series “Independent Lens”.  He was also awarded “The Old Time Player of the Year” award by the Society of Preservation of Bluegrass Music in America two years in a row.  Not only are we good friends, Gary is also our neighbor living just a few houses down the road from us.   He has graciously agreed to allow us to use his music in our upcoming videos and we hope you will enjoy it as much as we do.

Lodge Manufacturing Company

We began using Lodge Dutch ovens over 25 years ago after we experienced a few disasters with off-brand Dutch ovens and have never looked back. Lodge has been making cast iron cookware for more than 112 years since Joseph Lodge founded the business in 1896.  Lodge remains a family owned, family operated business producing the highest quality of cast iron cookware made and we are pleased to support and be associated with the Lodge name. When you choose Lodge Cast Iron Cookware, you’ve made a friend that will last a lifetime.

Tom Seay and "Best of America by Horseback"

Several months ago we received a call from Tom Seay whom we had never met.  He commented on being a big fan of Johnny’s and during the course of the conversation expressed his sincere interest in helping Johnny in any way he could.  Over the next several months we came to know Tom and his wife Pat and found them to be of the highest integrity, sincere and giving their all to help others.  Tom’s genuine down home personality and sense of humor make you feel like you have known him for many years.  We feel very privileged to know Tom and Pat and to be associated with them.  Watch for cooking segments with Johnny on their show “Best of America by Horseback”.

We recently had the opportunity to some of Wyoming Sauce Company's sauces.  I'm not usually a fan of "sauces" but I fell in love with these, and so did my granddaughter.  We would find ourselves trying almost every kind on anything from french fries for dipping to ribs and chicken cooked out.  If y'all get a chance check them out and give them a try.  Check out their website for some great recipes too
