Jack'd Up Peach Crumble


1 stick of cold butter, cut into pea-sized chunks

1 cup flour

1 cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 cup chopped pecans

6 to 8 sliced ripe peaches 

2 tablespoons Jack Daniels

1 lemon, juiced

1 tablespoon maple syrup


Place sliced peaches into a baking dish;  add Jack Daniels, lemon juice, and maple syrup.  Toss to coat peaches well.

 Mix the flour, cinnamon, sugar, butter, and pecans, until crumbly.   Top peaches with flour mixture and spread evenly.

Bake over medium heat (350 degrees), add top coals after 15-20 minutes for approximately 30 minutes or until mixture is bubbly and topping has browned.

Serve topped with vanilla ice cream if desired.
